Ketchum, James H. #2 (2 JUL 1827 - 26 MAY 1908)

Tuesday James H. Ketchum passed away at his home on Grand Ave. The funeral services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at the home. Rev. Burrows will preach the sermon. Mr. Ketchum was born July 2, 1827 in the town of Woodbury, Woodstock Co., Vermont. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Arcadia, N.Y., and in 1850 he moved to Washington Co., Wis. In 1855 he was married to Emeline White of Marion, N.Y., and they lived on their farm near West Bend until 1887, when they removed to Fond du Lac. After a two year residence there they moved to West Duluth, Minn., and one year later, in 1890, they came to Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) to make their home. Mr. Ketchum was a quiet, unassuming gentleman, of excellent character and exception mental characteristics, and he has a host of friends here who mourn his demise. He is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. John Huntley of Neillsville, L. O. Ketchum of South Milwaukee, and E. J. Ketchum of West Duluth, Minn.
