Grow, Grace #3 (27 MAY 1908)

Last Wednesday night at 8:30 o’clock Rev. Burrows united in marriage Mr. Charles Taylor and Miss Grace Grow in the presence of about fifty of the relatives and friends. Miss Mayme Woodward was the bridesmaid and Mr. Jerome Coe of Barron attended the groom. The bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine and the bridesmaid wore pink eolienne. Miss Agnes Taylor, sister of the groom, played the wedding march.

The Grow residence was tastily decorated for the occasion, white and pink being the color scheme. The alcove in which the ceremony was performed was transposed into a bower of palms, ferns, smilax and white carnations and roses. White and pink predominated in the dining room, red and white in the library. Following the ceremony and congratulations, refreshments were served by Misses Jessie Dwyer, Avis Ring, Hazel Crandall and Helen Crocker. The newly married couple evaded zealous friends by going to Marshfield at midnight and from there going to Barron where they will be at home after July 1st.

Mr. Taylor is a young lawyer at Barron and in the few years he has been practicing has attracted a very good business by his legal knowledge and careful attention to his client’s cases. He is a gentlemanly young man and on his visits here has so favorably impressed all who know him that there is sincere pleasure that the college friendship has terminated into a closer bond. Mrs. Taylor is one of the social favorites of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), and her friends keenly regret that her residence here has been terminated, but the regret is tempered by the knowledge that were life’s happiness is concerned, friendship must stand aside.

Mrs. Taylor is an accomplished musician and a young lady whose mental attainments, winning ways and beautiful disposition will win friends for her wherever she may go.
