Grabowski, Bertha (14 AUG 1889 - 28 DEC 1951)
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski, assisted by Rev. H. Zoromaki and Rev. Knopka at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 a.m., Jan. 2nd for Mrs. Bertha Grabowski, 62, who passed away at the Swedish Covenant Hospital at Chicago on Dec. 28th, 1951.
Bertha Travinski, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Travinski, was born in Shenandoah, Pa., on Aug. 14, 1889. She came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in about the year 1898 with her parents and was married to John Grabowski here at St. Hedwig’s Church. She spent many years of her later life in Chicago.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are one son, Edward of Chicago and one daughter, Amelia Braboski of Chicago; five brothers, John and Nick Travinski of New York, Mike of Milwaukee, Charles of Chicago, and Walter of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Deniskiewicz of Stanley and Mrs. John Diver of Chicago.
Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chas. Deniskiewicz, Fred Hedler, Victor Zielinski, Walter Pajak, John Diver and Ray Zegler.
