Kedziora, Casimer (1899? - 23 MAY 1952)

Casimer Kedziora, 52 year old Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) farmer, committed suicide by hanging in his barn Friday morning.

His family said he was despondent because he feared his only son, John, 23, would be inducted into the army. The son had taken a pre-induction physical examination only two days before. Kedizora had also purchased the farm across the road from his property which is one and a quarter mile east of the town road from Mileaway Ballroom.

His wife found the body hanging from a rafter with doubled binder twine shortly after 5:15 a.m. when death is believed to have occurred.

Kedziora had arisen early and as usual went to bring in the cows about 5 a.m.. His wife noticing he was not in the field went to investigate and found him in the barn.

The death was investigated by Deputy Coroner Dr. Robert Peters and Sheriff Frank Dobes of Neillsville. They said no inquest would be held.

Besides his wife and son, Mrs. Kedziora is survived by three daughters.
