Hoks, Elizabeth (20 SEP 1894 - 14 AUG 1952)

Mrs. Henry Hoks passed away suddenly at her home in Menasha on Aug. 14th, 1952.

Elizabeth Vanderloop was born on Sept. 20, 1894 at Holland, Wis., Calumet County. In April of 1898 she moved with her parents to their farm in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.).

She was united in marriage to Henry Hoks of Eland, Wis., on Oct. 13, 1914 at St. Ann’s Church at Stanley. The first years of her married life she resided in and near Stanley, and since 1930 resided at Menasha.

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merle Van Dyke of Muncie, Indiana; three sons, Bernard, Earl and Harold, all of Menasha; four grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Mary Vanderloop of Stanley, two brothers, Sylvester of Stanley, Wilfred of Fredonia; six sisters, Mrs. Peter hence of Stanley, Mrs. John Capaul of Cornell, Mrs. Ray Brown of Cedarburg, Mrs. Arthur Jacques of Thorp, Mrs. Herbert Bosseler of Port Washington, Wis., and Mrs. H. Freese of Thorp.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Menasha on Aug. 18th at 9:00 a.m.
