Kronberger, Dorothy L. #3 (10 JUN 1945)

Miss Dorothy L. Kronberger, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kronberger, and S/Sgt. Robert K. Prior, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Prior, were united in marriage in the Methodist church at 8 o’clock Sunday evening, June 10, at a candlelight service. The Rev. Raymond J. Fleming of Viroqua, a former pastor of the Methodist church here, performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Calvin Prior sang "I Love You Truly" and "Always," with Mrs. Arnold Wicklund, who also played the wedding marches, as her accompanist. The chancel was decorated for the occasion with baskets of garden flowers before a screen of ferns.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown, styled with a fitted bodice buttoned down the back, long sleeves coming to points at the wrists, a sweetheart neckline and a full net overskirt. Her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to a beaded tiara, and she carried a bouquet of roses, lilacs and swansonia.

Miss Betty Kronberger, a sister of the bride, in a soft pink taffeta and marquisette frock was maid of honor, and Miss Nancy Thurber, in an identical frock of pale blue, served as bridesmaid. Both wore corsages of spring flowers.

George White was best man, and Pvt. Ivan Kronberger, a brother of the bride, was groomsman.

Misses LaVonne Smith, Gwendolyn Tucker, Marie Anderegg, Betty Mathews, and Gladys Fenner acted as usherettes.

Following the ceremony, 50 guests were entertained at the reception at the Prior home, after which the young couple left for northern Wisconsin on a honeymoon. Both the bride and the groom were graduated from the Loyal high school, she with the class of 1943 and her husband in 1942. Mrs. Prior is employed by the Citizens State Bank of Loyal. Sergeant Prior has recently returned to the states from service in Sicily, Italy and England. When his furlough ends, he will report at Fort Sheridan, Ill., for reassignment.

Guests from away were the Rev. and Mrs. Fleming and daughter, Dolores, and son, Myron, of Viroqua and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Giese and sons Richard and Russell, of Palmyra.

To the newlyweds The Tribune adds its wishes to those of friends for a happy wedded life.
