Schaefer, Etola (Marriage - 14 Aug. 1948)

Mr. and Mrs. Etola Schaefer are now at home in the upstairs apartment in the former John Schefsick house, after their honeymoon trip to Long lake, near Tripoli.

Their marriage took place Saturday evening, Aug. 14, at the Lutheran parsonage in Green Grove. The Rev. M. C. Goetsch officiated at the double ring ceremony at 7:30 o’clock.

For the occasion the bride, the former Etola Schaefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Schaefer, chose a green gabardine suit with which she wore gold accessories and a corsage of white roses.

Attending the couple were Miss Rowene Schaefer, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Alvin Lindau, brother of the groom, as best man, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schaefer, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Miss Schaefer wore a brown gabardine suit and Mrs. Schaefer wore navy blue, accented by rose corsages.

Immediately after the ceremony, the couple left on their wedding trip and returned for the wedding dance at Walter’s pavilion, Wednesday night.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1943, and the groom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindau, Dorchester, is a graduate of the Dorchester high school, the same year. Mr. Lindau is employed at the Curtiss bank.
