Stange, Minnie (17 Sept. 1873 - 21 May 1949)

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Stange, 75, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rudy Younker, at Dorchester, Saturday evening, were held Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler conducted the services at 1:30 at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o‘clock at Christ Lutheran church, which were attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

During the church services the Ladies’ Aid sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Abide With Me."

Mrs. Stange was a member of the Ladies’ Aid and while she lived on the farm was a member of the Curtiss Aid.

The pallbearers were Gust Uhlig, Herman Lapp, John Daellenbach, Fred Woempner, Gust Busse, and Frank Bernitt.

The flowers were carried by Mmes. Busse, Woempner, Lapp and August Weideman, all friends of the deceased.

After the internment the Ladies’ Aid served lunch to the relatives who came for the funeral.

Minnie Proksch was born in Vernon county, Sept. 17, 1873, and was married there to Frank Stange, April 19, 1907. They lived on a farm there until 1903 when they moved to a farm three miles north of Curtiss, where a son, John, now resides.

In 1939 they moved to Abbotsford where Mr. Stange died May 2, 1946. Mrs. Stange had been in poor health for some time and died Saturday evening of a heart ailment at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rudy Younker, at Dorchester, where she had been the past two weeks.

She is survived by the one daughter and one son and eight grand children.
