Swanson, Charles G. (31 May 1876 - 10 Apr. 1950)
Charles G. Swanson, 76, retired Northern Pacific conductor, was found dead in his home at Glendive, April 10, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Swanson had been ill for some time.
He was born at Abbotsford May 31, 1876, and had been employed by the Northern Pacific since 1903. Swanson retired from work on his 65th birthday in 1939.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Gleason, Helena; four sisters, Mrs. Len Underhill, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Len Bulson, Stevens Point; Mrs. Ralph Ontrum, Seattle, Wash.; and three brothers, Alfred, Albert, Eddie, of Index, Washington.
