Kayhart, John W. (14 July 1878 - 29 Apr. 1950)

Funeral rites for John W. Kayhart, who died Saturday, were held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Raymond Flemming officiated and burial was made in the Memorial cemetery at Dorchester, Wis.

Mr. Kayhart was born in the town of Holton, July 14, 1878, received his education in that township, and was married at Dorchester in 1903 to Ida Winchell. He was a resident of the town of Holton until 12 years ago, spending seven years in Stratford and the last five in the town of Cameron.

Surviving besides his wife are seven children, Mrs. Ernest (Blanche) Beyreis, Spencer; Mrs. Ray (Helen) Weiland, Unity; Mrs. Albert (Delia) Collier, Okauchee; Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Meyers, Eagle River; Albert Kayhart, Spencer; Lloyd Kayhart, Route 1, Marshfield; and Donald Kayhart, of Colby, Wis.

Other survivors are 27 grand children, four great grand children, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Froland, of Dorchester, and Mrs. Alice Harper, of Christie. A brother, Richard, and a sister, Emma, are dead.
