Elmer Cornelius went to Rochester, Tuesday for x-rays. Mrs. Cornelius accompanied him. They left again on Thursday to get the reports on the x-rays.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Broeren, Merrill, came Saturday night to spend the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Treat. On Sunday afternoon they all went to Thorp to visit Mr. Broeren’s mother.

The Abbotsford Women’s club met in the library, Friday afternoon. Prizes were won by Mrs. F. B. Wing, first; Mrs. Peter Alexander, second, and Mrs. Ludwig Riechersamer, traveling. The next meeting will be May 26.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holtz and daughter attended the wedding of her nephew at Madison, May 6. Mrs. Holtz and daughter remained to visit her parents and plans to return here Saturday.

The fire department answered a call to the Don Bredow house, Monday morning about 8:30. The cause for the alarm was a chimney fire which did little damage.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Garbrecht, Nasonville, came Saturday afternoon and will be here until Thursday. They were called after the serious accident to his brother, T/Sgt. George Garbrecht, Friday.
