Lundahl, George (10 Feb. 1887 - 26 July 1950)

George Lundahl, 66, died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Wednesday, July 26, at 4:00 a.m. Death was attributed to leukemia.

The body will lie in state at the Zink Funeral Home until Saturday when services will be conducted there at 1:30 to be followed by services at 2:00 o’clock at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, Wis. Internment will be made in the Dorchester Cemetery. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler will be the officiating minister.

Mr. Lundahl was born Feb. 10, 1887, at Dorchester, Wis. He received his education in the town of Mayville, and for the past 39 years had resided on his farm two and one-half miles west of Abbotsford, Wis. He was married to Grace Phaneuf Feb. 23, 1911, and was a member of Christ Lutheran church.

He is survived by his wife; the following children, Mrs. Norman (Helen) Lukas, Abbotsford; Robert, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Engler, Jeffersonville, Indiana; Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Morrow, Abbotsford; Misses Lorraine, Georgiana and Grace, Chicago; and Jean, at home; three grand children; and five sisters, Miss Minnie Heath and Misses Anna and Mary Lundahl, Colorado; and Mrs. Bertha Geiger and Miss Dora Lundahl, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services for George Martin Lundahl, 63, who died Wednesday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, Wis. Burial was made in the Dorchester cemetery with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

Pallbearers were Paul Hundt, Henry Beisner, Arvid Carlson, Frank Lukas, Axel Johnson, and Albert Leichtnam.

Flower girls were the Misses Shirley Eder, Angela Zink, Ruth and Edith Carlson, and Ruth and Mildred Leichtnam.

Miss Inez Gust and Miss Dorothy Kieser sang "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Heaven is My Home."

Attending the rites from out of town were Miss Ann Lundahl, Longmont, Colo.; Mrs. Bertha Geiger and Dora Lundahl, Milwaukee; the Misses Georgianna, Lorraine, and Grace Lundahl, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Engler and son, Jeffersonville, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lundahl, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Eder and family; Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Reiter, Stetsonville; and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Telschow, Rib Lake.
