Neuhaus, Ella L. (Marriage - 9 Sept. 1950)

Miss Ella L. Neuhaus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Neuhaus, and Howard O. Pacholke, all of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in a ceremony performed there at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Sept. 9, in the First Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. Franz Puhlmann officiated at the nuptial rites.

The bride chose a gown of ivory satin and lace for her wedding. The lace and beads in the full skirt were repeated in the long train. A lace trimmed finger tip veil extended from her bonnet, and she carried a cascade bouquet of lilies and pink roses.

Mrs. Ervin Schwoerer, Manitowoc, the bride’s sister, was her matron of honor. She was attired in a pink brocaded satin gown and carried a bouquet of white and blue asters.

Her only bridesmaid was her sister-in-law, Mrs. Harold Neuhaus, Plymouth, who wore a blue brocaded gown. Her bouquet was orchid and white asters.

Attending the groom were Erwin Schwoerer, Manitowoc, brother-in-law of the bride, and Harold Neuhaus, Plymouth, brother of the bride.

Ushering for the ceremony were Elmer Neuhaus, Petersburg, Va., brother of the bride, and Edward Pacholke, Eau Claire, the groom’s brother.

The bride’s mother chose a navy colored dress and a corsage of orange gladioli.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and a supper was served to friends and relatives in the parish house.

When the couple return from a honeymoon to Niagara Falls, they will live in Colby, where the groom is employed by the R. J. Nickels Construction Co.
