Tischendorf, Rose (11 OCT 1911)
At two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Miss Rose Tischendorf and Mr. Ed Leichtnam were united in marriage by Rev. Biezor of Colby, at the home of the bride's parents one mile and a quarter northeast of this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.). They were attended by Misses Tillie Koehler and Ella Nelson, and Messrs. Nelson and Tischendorf.
The bride was dressed in a blue silk dress with a white tulle veil and myrtle wreath. The groom wore a suit of the conventional black. The bridesmaids wore dresses of white. The rooms were decorated in blue and white, and the yard with Japanese lanterns. At 5 o'clock an elaborate wedding supper was served to over three hundred guests. After supper the guests amused themselves with card playing for the older and dancing for the younger.
The out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Koehler and family of Marathon City; Misses Frances and Margaret Foster and brother Alvin of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. George Dahl and child of Ogema; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dahl of Ogema; Mrs. Wm. Wieden and daughters Marie and Frances of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Foster of Colby, Wis.
By the man and useful presents the young people received, it shows that they were very highly esteemed by their many friends. The bride is known throughout the community and also the groom, and the Herald, with their many friends, join in wishing them a long and happy married life.
