  Snyder, Grant #2 (21 Jul 1879 - 21 Nov 1945)

 

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Veefkind Community church for Grant Snyder, 66, a former Clark county resident who died Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, at his home in San Diego, Cal.

 

Mr. Snyder, son of the late Franklin and Marie Snyder, was born in Richland county on July 21, 1879, and was married to Ora Zimmerlee. They made their home in Richland county until1907, when they came to Clark county, living here until they moved to San Diego five years ago.

 

Besides his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Falk and Mrs. James (Hulda) Gilbert of San Diego, Mrs. Harley (Hope) Renne of Riverside, Cal., Mrs. Ross (Innis) Stevens and Mrs. William (Hazel) Rohloff of Spencer, and Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Schlinsog of Granton, and three sons, Vere of San Diego, Paul of Riverside, and Don of the U. S. navy, stationed at Pearl Harbor, H. I. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Clark of Santee, Cal., and  Mrs. Knute Swanjord Balaton, Minn., 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Harley Renne and Paul Snyder of Riverside, Cal.; Mrs. Beatrice Falk and Vere Snyder of San Diego, Cal.; Don Snyder of Pearl Harbor, H. I.; Mrs. Grant Snyder, who was visiting here at the time of his death; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson of Bloom City; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steinmetz of La Farge; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Osborn and daughter and John Zimmerlee of Richland Center; Mrs. Ernest Conant of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Knute Swanjord of Balaton, Minn.; Mrs. Cora Miles of Minneapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Erwin and Mrs. Fred Jensen of Wisconsin Rapids.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a loved one.
