Kroll, Wilmer Edward (27 August 1927 - 4 June 2009) With Flag

 

Wilmer Kroll, 81, of Neillsville died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville. 

 

Wilmer Edward Kroll was born Aug. 2, 1927, in Neillsville, the son of Edward and Lillian (Schoenherr) Kroll. 

 

Wilmer was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post #73 in Neillsville. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; two brothers, Merlin (Jean) Kroll of Neillsville and Ervin (Jeannette) Kroll of West Salem; one sister, Eileen (Arnold) Buchholz of Christie; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Wilmer were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pastor Timothy Biebert officiated.  Music was provided by Judy Trunkel, organist.  Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council. 

 

Casketbearers were: Bob Bell, Melvin Dux, Wilbert "Lefty" Henchen, Robert Jacob, Jerry Johnson and Frank Mitte. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 711 W. 5th Street, Neillsville, WI 54456.
