Hull, Charles (9 JAN 1860 - 10 FEB 1952)

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1952, from Zink’s Funeral Home at Abbotsford for Charles F. Hull.  He was 92 years, 1 month and 1 day of age at the time of his death on Feb. 10th, 1952, passing away at the Lutheran Home for the Aged at Fond du Lac.  Rev. Wm. Knoblock officiated at the services with burial being made in the cemetery at Abbotsford, Wis.

His grandsons, Frank, Robert, David and Bruce Hull, Orville Miller and Donald E. Marshall served as pallbearers.

Being born on Jan. 9th, 1860 in the Town of Scott, Sheboygan Co., Wis., Charles Hull moved with his parents to their homestead farm located east of Abbotsford in the Town of Holton, where he lived until his marriage to Georgia Brewer of Abbotsford, on March 30, 1881.  They made their home at Piosippe for 10 years until 1901 when they returned to Abbotsford, being engaged in the occupation of farming until 1910.  In that year they disposed of their holdings, moving to Abbotsford where they lived happily until Mrs. Hull passed away in 1917.

After the loss of his beloved wife Mr. Hull left Abbotsford, going to Plymouth, Wis. to live with his youngest daughter, Laura, and later moved with her to Fond du Lac, making his home with her and her family until three years ago when he entered the Lutheran Home for the Aged, living there until the time of his death.

His late years of life had been enjoyable as his health had been good, allowing him to travel and enjoy visits with his relatives up until last August when he began to weaken.  But even then, he was able to be up and around the Home up until the week previous to his passing from these earthly surroundings.

He leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Miss Lill Rice, Iron River, Mich.; two sons, Wallace, Owen, and Roy F. Hull, Sheboygan, Wis., and one daughter, Mrs. Laura Petersen, Chicago, Ill.; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
