Uhlig, Janet June (Marriage - 1 Oct. 1949)

Miss Janet June Uhlig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Uhlig, Abbotsford, became the bride of Norbert Elmer Hartl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hartl, Sr., Unity, at an afternoon service read Oct. 1 in the Dorchester Lutheran parsonage by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler.

For the occasion Miss Uhlig chose a grey suit with green accessories, and her corsage featured red and white roses. Her sister, Miss Yvonne Uhlig, wore a green suit with grey accessories, and a corsage of pink and white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss LaVila Eggert, Milwaukee, had a wine colored suit, winter white accessories and a corsage of yellow and peach roses.

Ray Hartl, brother of the groom, was best man, and Albert Uhlig, brother of the bride, was groomsman.

At 6:30 p.m. a reception was held at the bride’s home, and at night a dance was held in the Curtiss Hall. Among the 112 guests were relatives and friends from Sherwood, Wausau, Curtiss, Dorchester, Unity, Spencer, Auburndale, Colby and Marshfield.

The groom is associated with Alvin Uhlig, a contractor, at Abbotsford, where the couple will reside.
