Zuther, Doris J. (14 JUN 1952)

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, provided the setting for the marriage of Miss Doris Jane Zuther, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Zuther, Dorchester, and Frank Charles Samek, Cicero, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Zigmunt Lentz, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), at nuptial services held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a full length gown trimmed with white lace flowers centered with rhinestones and long point sleeves, and a full lace skirt.  The fingertip veil was secured to a lace headdress.  Her bouquet consisted of white carnations centered with a white orchid.

Miss Dorothy Zuther, Dorchester, sister of the bride, wearing a lime green full gown with lace bodice and jacket and net overskirt served as maid of honor.  A net picture hat completed her ensemble.  She carried a bouquet of deep maroon carnations.

Miss Adeline Zuther, Dorchester, sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Lou Hurth, Milwaukee, served as bridesmaids.  Both maids wore orchid dresses identically styled to the maid of honor’s and both carried bouquets of yellow carnations.

Attendants for the groom were Norman Zuther, Dorchester, brother of the bride, who served as best man, and Robert Gasse, Milwaukee, and Robert Schumacker, Dorchester, Wis.

Janet Samek, Owen, cousin of the groom, served as flower girl.  She was attired in a lime green frock with full skirt accented with ruffled shoulder straps over which she wore a ruffled net cape.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride, a graduate of Dorchester High School, is employed at Hotpoint, Inc., in Cicero, Ill.  The groom is employed at Hart Painting and Decorating Co., Chicago.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the new Mr. and Mrs. Samek will reside at 2616 South Austin, Cicero.

Relatives and friends from Chicago and Milwaukee attended the wedding.
