Brimer, Myrle (7 JUN 1952)

Sacred Heart Church, Eau Claire, was the setting for the wedding of Myrle Brimer of Eau Claire, and Bert Colby, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), at a nuptial mass at 9 a.m., June 7, 1952.  The Rev. James E. Ennis read the double ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle, Elmer Connell of Eau Claire.  She wore a white satin gown with long train and a fingertip length veil.  Her bouquet was of white roses and white stephanotis.

Loretta Bauer of Eau Claire was maid of honor in a gold satin dress and Mrs. Felix Dietsche of Owen was bridesmaid, wearing an aqua crepe jersey.  Mrs. Dietsche is a sister of the bridegroom.  Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Colby of Owen.

Bill Bauer, Jr., of Eau Claire, was best man, and Felix Dietsche was groomsman.  Ushers were Clarence Pappe and Eddie Faulkner, both of Eau Claire.

The mother of the bridegroom and Mrs. Connell, aunt of the bride, both chose navy with white accessories for the occasion and had corsages of white flowers.

A reception was held at the Elmer Connell home in Eau Claire after the church service.  At 6 p.m. the couple greeted their friends at the Felix Dietsche home in Owen.

Mrs. Colby wore a red suit with white accessories as the couple left for a trip to Northern Michigan.

Both are employed at Sacred Heart Hospital.
