Randall, Harry L. #2 (5 AUG 1880 - 26 JUN 1952)

Services for Harry L. Randall, 72, were held at two o’clock Saturday afternoon from St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church, this city, with Dr. K. O. Crosby, Owen, and Rev. R. E. Ortmayer, Chippewa Falls, officiating.  Burial was made in the family lot at the cemetery in Curtiss.  During the service Mrs. Robert Hopkins, Abbotsford, and Messrs. Ben Bruchert and Carl Holverson, city, sang "Abide With Me" and "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee."

The pallbearers, nephews of the deceased were Walter H. LaBerge, Edward and Ned Randall, Eau Claire, and K. J. Jacobsen, Chetek, Earl Boss, Colby and John Hanson, Westboro.

Harry L. Randall was born on Aug. 5, 1880 at Eau Claire, Wis., where he spent his boyhood.  There he acquired an interest in the lumber industry as that was the source of all income in that community.

As a youngster of 13 years of age he followed the industry to Owen when the John S. Owen Lumber Co. began their operations here, being employed as a water boy.  Later he took charge of the company store and continued as an employee of the company until the time they discontinued their operations here in about 1929.  On two different occasions he served as street commissioner in the city.  For several years he was associated with the W. F. Weaver Construction Co., as a foreman working on the school projects at Drummond, Amherst and Rhinelander.  For several years he was in business in Owen operating a garage and one at Abbotsford, Wis.  The past 18 years he has been an employee of the Master Package Corp. serving as their shipping clerk.

In March 1905 he was united in marriage to Pauline Hanson at Owen who mourns his departure, as does his one son, Lloyd, of Sturgeon Bay and two grandchildren, Paula Ann and Joan Kay, also of Sturgeon Bay.

Besides his family and relatives who are grieved at his long suffering and death is a wide circle of friends.  He had many of them because Harry Randall had the attributes of true wholesome qualities not found in too many personalities these days.  He was clean cut and wholesome in all of his living habits and found enjoyment in his home and family.  The community regrets the loss of one….(the rest was continued on another page that I failed to copy)
