Now on a wedding trip in Northern Wisconsin are Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith Jr., who were married at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee by the Rev. E. Nelson.

 

The bride, the former Arlene Mildbrand, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mildbrand, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith, reside in Owen.

 

A net skirt and lace bodice fashioned the ballerina length dress worn by the bride.  A Juliette cap held her veil of illusion that was edged with a floral design and she carried an arrangement of red and white carnations.

 

A ballerina length pink and blue net over pink taffeta costume and a headdress of white daisy mums were worn by a cousin of the bride, Carol Wild, who served as maid of honor.

 

The bridesmaid, Phyllis Olson, Colby, wore a ballerina length yellow and blue net over yellow taffeta dress and a floral headdress.  She also carried a bouquet of carnations.

 

Jerry Christopherson, Owen, a cousin of the groom, was best man, and Ervin Gay, Owen, groomsman.

 

A navy blue dress with white accessories was worn by the bride’s mother, and a grey dress complemented with black accessories, by the groom’s mother.  Each had a corsage of red and white carnations.

 

A reception was held at Milly’s Clubroom after the ceremony.

 

Botht he bride and groom attended Owen High School.  He is employed at Will’s Implement Co. in Owen, where they will make their home.

 

Guests at the wedding were from Unity, Oshkosh, Abbotsford, Owen, Curtiss, Colby, Medford, Thorp, and Chicago.
