Quelle, Dawn (16 AUG 1952)

Now residing in their newly built home in Franklin Park, Ill. are Mr. and Mrs. John Izewski.  She is the former Dawn Quelle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Quelle, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

The couple were married on Aug. 16, 1952, at three o’clock in a lovely ceremony performed at St. Hyacinth’s Parish, Chicago.  Rev. Bednarik was the officiating clergyman.

A white embroidered nylon coat style gown having a queen Ann collar and long pointed sleeves over the front panel of nylon tulle; accordion pleating in the skirt was chosen by the bride for the sacred occasion.  It had a church length train, a fingertip veil of nylon tulle and a crown of seeded pearls and rhinestones.  To complete her attired she carried a bouquet of white orchids on a Prayer Book with streamers of lilies of the valley.

Serving as bridesmaids were Kay Margia, Frances Michalski, close friends of the couple; Barbara and Beverly DuKavan, cousins of the bride, and junior bridesmaid, Doreen Quelle, sister of the bride.  The bridesmaids gowns were of ballerina length nylon tulle in yellow, lilac, green and pink respectively while that of the junior bridesmaid was of nylon tulle in blue and floor length in design.  They all wore matching headpieces and carried sprays of fuchsia gladiolas and pink ostrich features.  Paulette Izewski, niece of the groom, served as flower girl, wearing a white gown identical to that of the Junior bridesmaid.  Rodney Quelle, brother of the bride, was ring bearer, wearing a tuxedo having a white dinner jacket.

Paul Izewski served his brother as best man.  He and the ushers, Norbert Michalski, Bruno Cukla and Anthony Gabriel, close friends of the couple, wore tuxedos with white dinner jackets.

Two hundred and fifty friends and relatives were received by the newlyweds at a reception held at six thirty o’clock at the National Hall in Chicago.  Later the couple left for northern Wisconsin for a visitation to the home of her parents and then continued on into northern Wisconsin and Minnesota on a two week honeymoon trip.

Among the guests attending the lovely service were Mr. and Mrs. Harley Quelle and family, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Martin DuKavan and family, Milwaukee; Miss Emily Quelle, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ross, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Andrews and family, Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tallant and daughter, Mantague, Mich.; and Mrs. J.
