Weirich, Clara B. (13 OCT 1868 - 9 OCT 1952)

 

Mrs. Clara B. Weirich was born Oct. 13th, 1868 at the farm home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Page in Prairie du Sac Township.

 

She entered her eternal home after an extended illness on Oct. 9th, 1952, at St. Mary’s Ringling Hospital at Baraboo.

 

She had been a patient suffered in this hospital where she had been taken following a stroke on Oct. 1st, 1948, remaining there the past four years.

 

Her childhood days were spent in Sauk Prairie.  She attended school nar her home and in Prairie du Sac.

 

After reaching young womanhood she clerked in Clavadscher’s and Yoga Bros. store in Baraboo.  She later went ot sunny California for a visit with her sister, Mrs. Robert Ingram, and while there clerked in a store in Los Angeles.  After returning to Wisconsin she was united in marriage to John P. Weirich on Oct. 24, 1895.  To this union one daughter, Ina Rachel, was born.

 

For several years they made their home in Prairie du Sac, moving to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1902, which was her home for forty years.

 

In 1923, in spite of all loving hands could do, their daughter passed on to her heavenly home and in 1929 she was called to mourn the loss of her loving husband.

 

Mrs. Weirich was a charter member of Owen Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and Royal Neighbor Lodges, and the Home Circle and Friendly Helpers Clubs.

 

In June of 1941 she again came to make Prairie du Sac her home, and was welcomed back among her friends here.

 

Mrs. Weirich’s funeral was held Sunday p.m., Oct. 12 at the Presbyterian church at Prairie du Sac.  Rev. Bayley and Rev. Jones officiating.  She was laid to rest beside her husband and daughter in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery.
