Morrison, Mae Joann (19 June 1932 - 11 July 2009) 
 

Mae Joann Morrison, 77, of Van Buren Township, MI, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the home of her son, Kent Morrison, in Belleville.  She passed away holding the hands of her daughters, Ginger and Heather.   
 

Mae was born to Adam and Sarah (Biddle) Path on June 19, 1932, in Loyal, WI. She was the granddaughter of Mary and Mary (Bancroft) Biddle of Thorp.  On July 7, 1951, Mae married her beloved husband, James B. Morrison, who was in the U. S. Army and ready to ship out to the Korean War. 
 

Mae enjoyed sewing, quilting and her love of kitty cats. 
 

She is survived by her children: Kent Morrison, Ginger (Dave) Gehly, Michele Morrison, and Heather Ortiz, who all live in Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Joe) Daugherty of New Bern, NC; and a brother, Bill (Freddie) Path of Van Buren, AR. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Morrison; adopted daughter, Rachel; and sister, Betty Piland. 
 

Hospice extended their loving care to her throughout her illness. 
 

Mae will be greatly missed and loved forever.  Her wish was to be cremated and laid to rest with her husband, James.  A private burial took place in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, MI. 
 

Arrangements were handled through Stark Funeral Service.
