Rosenquist, John, Mr. & Mrs. (50th - 15 NOV 1952)

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenquist held open house Saturday, Nov. 15, 1952 at their home in Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  The home was decorated with beautiful flowers consisting of yellow chrysanthemums, carnations, and yellow roses.  Mrs. A. C. Little, Mrs. Norman Bakke, Mrs. Isabel Martin acted as hostess to about 100 guests.

 

The children, Harry and Harvey Rosenquist of Withee and Mrs. Hilma Gibbs of Waukegan, presented their mother and father with a beautiful 50th wedding anniversary gold cake.

 

There survives a brother and a sister, Fannie deceased.  The Rosenquists have six granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.

 

The Rosenquists were born in Vasa, Finland, and came to Marquette, Michigan in 1902, where they spent 10 years before coming to Owen and spent 36 years on the farm and retired 4 years ago to their home in Withee.

 

Out of town guests were Mrs. Hilma Gibbs and daughter Carole, Waukegan, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Emil Laabs, Colby, Mrs. Lily Wilson and son, Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen and family of Abbotsford, Mrs. Anna Tonn, Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Hebert Kuegler and daughter, Dorchester, Paul Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz and sons, Curtiss.
