Demand, Anna (27 June 1882 - 8 Apr. 1952) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Demand, 70, who died at Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison, April 8, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home, under the auspices of the Royal Neighbors. The Rev. William Knobloch gave the sermon and Miss Darlene Pascoe accompanied at the piano by Ed Pascoe, sang hymns requested by the deceased, "Good Night and Good Morning," and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand." Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.  
 

Pallbearers were Dr. J. A. Rilling, C. J. Hirsch, Louis Mauritz, M. C. Thompson, Fred Earl, and Gordon Phanuef. 
 

The many beautiful floral offerings were carried by the Royal Neighbors, of which lodge Mrs. Demand was a member. 
 

Anne Fricke Demand was born June 27, 1882, in the town of Hull, Marathon county. On Nov. 24, 1904, she was united in marriage to Harry Demand, after which they lived on a farm in Riverside. The following spring they went to Vilas county and came back in 1906 and worked the farm of her parents in Cherokee for eight years, and then bought a farm west of Abbotsford, where they lived until 1936. In 1942, they purchased the place in the town of Colby on the south edge of Abbotsford, Wis. The past two winters Mr. and Mrs. Demand spent at Evansville with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tesch.  
 

Mrs. Demand was a practical nurse for about 30 years. She was in poor health for the past few years. She had been ill with pneumonia and was taken to Wisconsin General Hospital for treatment. She suffered a stroke Monday and died the next day at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon. 
 

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Sarah) Tesch, of Evansville; Mrs. Ray (Janet) Draheim, Canyon City, Oregon; two sons, Erhart, Sheboygan Falls; and Lloyd, Klamath Falls, Oregon.  
 

There are four grandsons, one grand daughter, and one great grand daughter. One sister, Mrs. Frieda Warner, of Saynor, and a brother, Edward Fricke of Cherokee, also survive.  
 

Among the immediate relatives who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Draheim and daughter, Joan, Canyon City, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tesch and Mrs. Walter Jolzin, Jr., and daughter, Gayle, of Evansville; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fricke and son, Edwin, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. George Rein and son, Alfred, Cherokee; Mrs. Frieda Warner and daughter, Jane, of Saynor.
