Schuneman, Bernadine (Marriage - 16 Aug.
1952)
Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Miss Bernadine Schuneman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hoeft, became the bride of Verland Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Hanson, Route 1. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the double ring service in Christ Lutheran church. Miss Dorothy Kieser played nuptial music and sang "O Perfect Love," and "The Lord is my Shepherd."
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of
white lace and tulle over satin. A Juliet cap held her finger-tip
lace edged veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations.
Miss Audrey Hoeft, her sister, the maid
of honor, and Mrs. Lyle Smith, Burnett, the bridesmaid, wore
identical gowns of pale blue lace and marquisette, featuring an
apron effect and a matching bolero and head band. They carried
colonial bouquets of pink, white and yellow carnations.
Arnold Gadke, Marshfield, best man, and
Lyle Smith, Burnett, brother-in-law of the groom, attended the
groom. Donald and Laverne Kalepp, cousins of the groom, were
ushers.
The bride’s mother was attired in
an aqua print dress with pink and white carnations, and the
groom’s mother wore a navy blue dress. Their corsages were of
pink and white carnations.
A reception and dinner were held in the
Abbotsford armory. Guests from away were from Chicago, Milwaukee,
Mosinee, Burnett, Stratford, and Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanson are residing at Milwaukee where the bride is employed by Cutler-Hammer and the groom by the Wehr Steel Company.
