Brown, Libbie Dell (8 Jan. 1892 - 23 July 1953) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. George Brown, 61 years old, who died Thursday, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Richard Harrison officiating. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. 
 

Nephews and nieces served as pallbearers and flower girls. Pallbearers were Clyde Strebe, Marshfield; Eldred Strebe, Owen; Bernard Schwalenberg, Waupun; Richard Brown, Abbotsford; and William Rindfleisch, and William Goetz, of Spencer. 
 

In charge of the floral offerings were Mmes, Clyde Strebe, William Rindfleisch, William Gaetz, Eldred Strebe, Don Colby, of La Crosse, and Edgar Lenhard, of Athens. 
 

Mrs. Brown, nee Libbie Dell Moore, was born Jan. 8, 1892, in the town of Hull, Marathon county, and lived there with her parents until her marriage to George Brown on Dec. 24, 1907 in the town of Hull. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to the farm on which she died. 
 

She was a member of the Presbyterian church and a member of the Woman’s Benefit Association. 
 

Mrs. Brown had suffered a heart attack after which she was hospitalized two weeks at Marshfield. She returned home on Saturday and death occurred the following Thursday at 1:00 p.m. 
 

She is survived by her husband, three brothers, Joseph Moore, Wisconsin Rapids; Roy Moore, Port Edwards; and Obed Moore, Marinette; and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Lizzie) Hart, Stevens Point; Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Brown, Abbotsford; Mrs. Ward (Pearl) Brown, Menominee, Mich.; and Mrs. Charles (Beatrice) Hebert, Yakima, Washington. 
 

Her twin sister, Mrs. Abe Strebe, preceded her in death on May 13 and a brother, John, on May 30. Three other sisters also preceded her in death. 
 

Among relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tuxhorn, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Driscoll and Mr. and Mrs. James Berryman, Port Edwards; Mr. and Mrs. Obed Moore, Marinette; Mr. and Mrs. Ward Brown, Menominee, Mich.; Mrs. Joe Hart, Stevens Point; Mrs. Don Colby, La Crosse; Abe Strebe, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. William Gaetz and Mr. and Mrs. William Rindfleisch, Spencer; 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Strebe, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Strebe, Marshfield; Mrs. Mildred Cornell and Bernard Schwalenberg, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lenhard, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bergman, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Garrow, Ogema; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Nedry Sterling, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Provinski, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Gertrude McIntyre, of Sedro Wooly, Wash.
