Woodbeck, Clarence J. #2 (3 SEP 1888 - 12 AUG 1953)

 

Clarence J. Woodbeck, 64, died suddenly at his home at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12th, 1953 of a heart ailment.  He had suffered a heart attack about six years ago and had not completely recovered from it.

 

Mr. Woodbeck was secretary of the Masonic Lodge at Medford at the time of his death, and was justice of the peace.  Besides being a member of the Masonic order at Medford he was a member of the Commandery of Wausau.

 

He was a salesman for many years, and prior to his retirement six years ago was employed by the A. L. Shafton Co. of Stevens Point.  He had lived in Medford for the past 12 years, going to Medford from Ladysmith.

 

He was born at Esteline, S.D. on Sept. 3, 1888.  His marriage to Alice Hullstrom took place at Dawson, Minn. On Feb. 17, 1915.  He lived for a time at Arlington, S.D., where he was a banker and then moved to Rice Lake, Wis.

 

Surviving him are his wife, two children, Mrs. Jack Kerman (Corinne), Madison; Orland Woodbeck, Owen; four grandchildren and two brothers, Charles Woodbeck, Mora, Minn.; Asa Woodbeck, Brook Park, Minn.

 

Masonic rites were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Christ Church, the Rev. Douglas Mark officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
