Brandt, Richard (11 NOV 1881 - 31 MAR 1954)

 

Final rites for Richard Brandt were held at one o’clock Saturday afternoon from Griebenow’s Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Meinhardt officiating.  Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

 

During the services Misses Nora and Jean Jensen sang "Rock of Ages" and "Abide with Me."  They were accompanied at the piano by their mother, Mrs. Arnold Jensen.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Norbert and Leon Bruchert, Harold and Walter Heideman, Richard Rabska and Wm. Veurink.  In charge of the floral offerings were Mesdames Norbert and Leon Bruchert, Gerald Brandt and Miss Arlene Brandt.

 

The deceased was born on Nov. 11, 1881 in Germany, being 72 years of age at the time of his death, March 31, 1954, in Marshfield where he had made his home for the past several years.

 

Previous to moving to Marshfield he was a pioneer resident of the Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) community.  For many years he farmed successfully in the Town of Hixon.  Six years ago he retired from this vocation.

 

Mourning his death are four sons, Arnold of Eau Claire; Floyd of Crawfordville, Ind.; Forrest, Inver Grove, Minn. And Leland, Owen; one brother, William of Withee, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Bruchert, Withee; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
