Molle, Darlene #3 (30 JUN 1954)

Miss Darlene Molle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Molle, Unity, and Glenn Rachu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Rachu, Unity, repeated vows during a nuptial High Mass Wednesday morning, June 30, 1954, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby (Clark Co., Wis.).  The Rev. Frank Brickl officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The Chantilly lace over satin and net skirt of the bridal gown was topped by a lace bodice with Peter Pan collar detailed by a nylon yoke trimmed with sequins.  The bride’s lace edged fingertip veil was secured by a headpiece of sequins and pearls, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations caught with rosebud streamers.

Strapless fitted bodices of Chantilly lace over taffeta topped by double row of pleated nylon net, lace jackets featuring pointed collars and short sleeves, and tiers of nylon net over taffeta skirts detailed the costumes of the bridal attendants.

Mrs. Cairgene Molle, Unity, wore a green formal when she served as maid of honor for her sister, and Miss Darlene Rachu, Unity, sister of the groom, and Miss Charlotte Mohan, Spencer, as bridesmaids, were yellow and pink respectively.  They carried colonial bouquets of assorted carnations.

Donald Rachu, Unity, performed best man duties for his brother.  Charles Greinsky and Wayne Molle, Unity, were groomsmen, and Milton Laabs, Owen, and Clifford Wentzel, Curtiss, ushered.

Corsages of white carnations were pinned on ensembles worn by both mothers and grandmothers of the couple.

A wedding breakfast and a dinner for 150 guests were served at the home of the bride’s parents and later in the day a dance was held at the Colby Park Pavilion.

Guests came from Menominee, Mich., Unity, Owen, Curtiss, Oshkosh, Stratford, Edgar, Marshfield, Fenwood, Wausau, Rhinelander, Colby and Menasha.
