Trampush, Evelyn I.  (19 MAR 1920-25 SEP 2009)

 

Evelyn I. Trampush, 89, Greenwood, died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center Health and Rehab, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial will take place in the Greenwood City Cemetery at a later date.

 

Evelyn Ingrid Krokson was born on March 19, 1920, in Greenwood, to Martin and Mila (nee Hendrickson) Krokson. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at the Christopherson School. As a young woman, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a nanny and housekeeper. She returned to Greenwood, and married Frank B. Trampush on March 21, 1943, in La Crosse. They farmed in the Greenwood atea until retiring in 1993. She continued to reside in Greenwood until entering Memorial Medical Center &Rehab in January 2006.

 

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching soap operas.

 

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Joy Trampush, Greenwood, one grandson: Gary (Jessica) Eddy, Chicago; two great-grandchildren: Luke and Tristan; one son-in-law: Gordon Eddy, Silver Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Frank, on Nov. 18, 2000; her daughter, Donna Eddy’ three brothers, Roy Krokson, Alvin Krokson and Arthur Krokson; and two sisters, Edith Drew and Lila Hotchkiss.

 

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
