Cook, Linda M. (15 Feb. 1923 - 28 Sept. 2009) 

SPENCER -- Linda M. Cook, 86, of Spencer, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Wausau Manor, Wausau. 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at United Methodist Church, Spencer. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will take place in the West Spencer Cemetery. 

Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Linda was born Feb. 15, 1923, in the town of Beaver, to Percy and Julia (Slocum) Vincent. Linda graduated from Loyal High School. 

The former Linda Vincent was united in marriage to Charles Cook on April 23, 1942, in the Loyal Methodist Parsonage. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the town of Beaver until 1964, when they moved to Spencer. 

Mrs. Cook enjoyed embroidering, flower and vegetable gardening, and quilting. Linda will always be remembered in the beautiful quilts that she presented to her family and friends. 

Linda is lovingly survived by her children: Patricia (John) Schultz, Roger (Pat) Cook, Shirley (Gerald) Lemke and Scott (Dawn) Cook, all of Wausau; Robert (Sheila) Cook, Thomas (Nancy) Cook and Lynn (Wendy) Cook, all of Appleton; and Marjorie (Ray) Diers of Weston and Carol (Dan) Blakey of Granton. 

Linda is further survived by 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She will truly be missed. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Julia Vincent; husband, Charles Cook; sons, Marvin, Harvey and Jeffrey Cook; daughter, Ellen Blanchard; as well as brothers, Murel and Verlyn Vincent.
