Miss Caroline M. Schug, Edgar, became the bride of Frank L. Beran, Athens, Sept. 1, during a service read by the Rev. Jacob Burggraf, in St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Wuerzburg, Mr. and Mrs. George Schug, Edgar, and Mrs. Ethel Beran, Athens, are the parents of the bridal couple. 
 

Scallops detailed the neckline of the bride’s gown of lace and net over satin. A tiered skirt, finger tip veil veil caught to a crown of pearls, and a bouquet of gladioli, mums, and red roses tied with streamers of ribbon, completed her attire. 
 

The bride’s sister, Miss Patricia Ann Schug, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were sisters of the groom, Miss June and Miss Donna Mae Beran. All the young women wore strapless ballerina length gowns of net over taffeta with lace jackets and carried colonial bouquets of colored carnations and white mums. The maid of honor wore a gold colored crown and the bridesmaids wore pink and blue, respectively. 
 

Russell Dean, Wausau, was best man and Eugene Weiler and Andrew Schreiner, cousins of the bride from Athens, were groomsmen. 
 

Members of the immediate families were entertained at dinner that noon, and a supper that evening for 200 guests included persons from Wausau, Athens, Dorchester, Marshfield, Medford, Waukesha, Virocqua, La Crosse, and Menominee, Mich. 
 

The bride, a graduate of the Athens high school, and the groom, a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, will reside on the groom’s farm, near Athens after they return from a trip to Colorado and other places in the west.
