Viegut, Yvonne Adella (Marriage - 18 Sept. 1954) 
 

When Mr. and Mrs. Donald Koerner return from their wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will reside on his farm in the town of Mayville, Mrs. Koerner will return to her work at the Abbotsford Variety Store. 
 

The marriage of Miss Yvonne Adella Viegut, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Viegut, and Donald Koerner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Koerner, took place Saturday afternoon, at 1:30 at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester. During the service, the Misses Dorothy and Marilyn Kieser, accompanied by Miss Shirley Sprengler, sang "O Perfect Love," and "The Lord is My Shepherd." The Rev. F. H. Sprengler performed the double ring ceremony. 
 

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar wearing a gown of lace and tulle over satin, featuring a sheer yoke topped with a scalloped collar and long sleeves ending in points over the wrist. Net ruffles bordered the floor length skirt of lace over net. Her finger tip lace edged veil was fastened to a head dress studded with pearls and sequins. She carried a heart shaped bouquet of white gladioli, yellow roses and stephanotis. 
 

Miss Charmaine Viegut was her sister’s maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. LaVern Viegut, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Kathleen Nikolay, cousin of the bride, of Stratford. They wore identically styled gowns of dotted swiss with pleated bodices and matching stoles and gauntlets. Yellow was worn by Miss Viegut and orchid by the other two attendants. Their pearl chokers and clutch bags were gifts of the bride. In their hair they wore baby mums and carried bouquets of white and colored gladioli. 
 

Harold Amacher was best man and the bride’s brother, La Vern and Clarence Viegut, were groomsmen. Kenneth Anderson and Jack Alexander, friends of the groom, seated the guests. 
 

Pink roses were used in the corsages the mothers wore with their ensembles. Mrs. Viegut chose rust accessories with her olive green dress, while Mrs. Koerner had red accessories with a blue dress. Mrs. Emil Untiedt, grand mother of the groom, of Dorchester, and Mrs. Fred Wurglur, grand mother of the bride, of New Glarus, had corsages of yellow carnations. 
 

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and supper was served at the church parlors to 125 guests. In the evening a wedding dance was held at Dorchester Memorial hall and a midnight supper was served at the Koerner home. 
 

Guests attended from Abbotsford, Dorchester, Curtiss, Medford, Milan, Athens, Stratford, Wausau, Schofield, Brokaw, Rozellville, Auburndale, West Bend, Lake Geneva, and Milwaukee. 
 

When the bridal couple left on their honeymoon, the new Mrs. Koerner wore a gray flannel dress trimmed with white angora. Her accessories were olive green.
