Wagner, Betty Jane (13 Nov. 1934 - 18 July 1955) 
 

DORCHESTER - A polio victim since 1951, Betty Jane Wagner, 20, died at 5:20 a.m. Monday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wagner, after being ill for a week. 
 

Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis’ Catholic church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas Hayden officiating and burial was made in Pine Hill cemetery, Curtiss. 
 

Miss Wagner was born Nov. 13, 1934, and attended Dorchester high school for two years. She was employed in Beaver Dam when she was stricken with polio.  
 

She was taken to the Waupun hospital for two months and then spent a year in a Madison hospital and then another year in St. Mary’s hospital, at Wausau. She had been at home the past year and this year for the first time since being stricken was able to get along without the aid of an iron lung. 
 

Surviving are her parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Duane, both of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Garczynski, Beaver Dam, and Sharon, at home; and her maternal grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Machove, Beaver Dam.
