Gebauer, Norman L (8 August 1926 - 28 September 2009)  
 

Norman L. Gebauer, age 83, of Medford, WI passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hope Hospice. 
 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Medford from 9:00 a.m. until time of memorial services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Krueger officiating.  Inurnment will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.  Honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren. 
 

Norman was born on August 8, 1926 at the Town of Greenwood, Taylor County, WI, to Frank Gebauer and Minnie Berger.  He attended Sunny Knoll grade school, Township of Greenwood.  He married Ann Halopka on September 14, 1946. 
 

In his early years Norman did trucking work along with various other jobs.  He then worked 41 years at Hurd Millwork in Medford until his retirement.  While working at Hurd he also did carpentry work and home building on the side.  Norman enjoyed hunting, woodworking, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
 

He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford. 
 

Norman is survived by his wife, Ann Gebauer of Medford; one daughter, Nancy (Robert) Schesel of Thorp; one son, Bill (Bonnie) Gebauer of Medford; one brother, Raymond "Ray" (Brenda) Gebauer of Fisher, IL; two sisters: Loretta Brahmer of Medford and Doris (Eugene) Schlais of West Allis, WI; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Gebauer and Minnie Berger; one daughter, Alana Grube in 1994; one son, Lex Gebauer in 2007; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; two sisters: Amelia Dassow and Marie Willner; and three brothers: Henry, Frank  and Arthur Gebauer. 
 

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the family for a future designation.
