Drews, Silveria B. (4 June 1926 - 27 Oct. 2009) 
 

Silveria B. "Susie" Drews, 83, of rural Marshfield died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. 
 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Christ The King Catholic Church in Spencer with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiating. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery in Spencer with her nephews serving as the pallbearers. 
 

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 
 

Susie was born June 4, 1926, in Marshfield to Wendelin and Thecla (Youngwirth) David. 
 

She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1944 and worked at the old Marshfield Clinic on Central Avenue until her marriage to Donald W. Drews on Feb. 14, 1948. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 2007. 
 

She and her husband were partners operating a dairy farm in the town of Spencer. In 1990, they were recognized as the outstanding retired farm couple by the Spencer FFA Alumni. 
 

In their retirement years, they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with family. She was an election poll worker in the township for many years. She loved bowling, treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching them how to bake pies and cookies. 
 

She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and St. Catherine's Circle. 
 

Susie is survived by her three children, Sharon (Gerald) Kobs of Spencer, Dianne (Mark) Dillman of Wausau and Charles (Charmaine) Drews of rural Marshfield; five grandchildren, Dana (Steve) Schubring, Amber Duranceau, Robin Kobs, Claire and Chloe Drews; three great-grandchildren, Alanna, Makenna and Ava Schubring. 
 

She is further survived by her younger siblings, Cecilia Trowbridge of Arpin, Willis (Jeanne) David of Marshfield, Daniel (Sylvia) David of Auburndale, Rose (Gene) Heggelund of Marshfied, Wendelin (Dianne) David Jr. of Marshfield and Carol (John) Berg of Marshfield; sisters-in-law, Theresa and Joan David, both of Marshfield; and a brother-in-law, Ken Kraemer of Park Forest, Ill. 
 

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry David on March 27, 2009, and Jack David on Sept. 15, 2009. 
 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital or Christ The King Church in Spencer. 
 

The family thanks ALL the staff at Saint Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care.
