Tresemer, Judy Marie (Marriage - 6 May 1978)

An early afternoon ceremony, Saturday, May 6, marked the exchange of wedding vows between Judy Marie Tresemer and Dennis Buchholz at the United Methodist Church, Neillsville, with the Rev. William Noble officiating.

Judy, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tresemer, 310 Grand Avenue, and Dennis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchholz, Rt. 3, Neillsville, will reside in Neillsville after their honeymoon to an undisclosed place.

The father of the bride presented the bride to the groom at the 1:30 p.m. services.

The bride’s dress was of Venice lace with scoop neck, full bishop sleeves and empire waist.  The cathedral length train fell from the full skirt and the fingertip veil, edged in lace, fell from the Juliet crown.  The bride carried a nosegay of light blue carnations, white daisies, blue starflowers, yellow sweetheart roses and baby’s breath.

Serving as maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Diane Tresemer.  Joining in the party were Marcia Tresemer, the bride’s sister; Leeann Johnson, the bride’s cousin from Eau Claire; and Becky Buchholz, the groom’s sister, Eau Claire.  All were attired in gowns of polyester satin blue floral print with V-necklines, full bishop sleeves, laced edged bodices and bottom ruffles.  They carried nosegays of light blue carnations, white daisies, blue starflowers and baby’s breath.

Attending the groom was David Brey as best man.  Joining him were Ralph Weber; the groom’s brother, Randy Buchholz; the bride’s brother, Tim Tresemer; and ushers, David Lewis of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Roger Buchholz, a brother of the groom.

Ring bearer was Ricky Kent of Winona, Minnesota, the bride’s cousin; while Debbie Spaete of Belvedere, Illinois, the groom’s cousin, served as flower girl.

Loriann Dux offered vocal solos of "We’ve Only Just Begun" and "You Light Up My Life," accompanied by Iris Musil on the organ.

The wedding reception immediately followed the services and was held at the Wildcat Inn with refreshments served later at the groom’s parent’s home.  A dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

Judy, who is a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High School and the City College of Cosmetology in 1977, is employed by Joan’s Hair Hut, Neillsville.  Dennis is also a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High and is now employed by Boon Brothers Construction of Greenwood.

The couple will reside at 411 East Fifth Street, Neillsville.
