Radke, Emma (Oct 15, 1910)

Saturday evening, at 8 o’clock, in the Lutheran Church, the marriage ceremony of William Hellerman and Miss Emma Radke was performed by Rev. Brandt.  The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion and at 8 o’clock the wedding march was played by Otto Hellerman, of Marshfield.  The groom was accompanied by his brother, Max Hellerman, and the bride by her sister, Miss Elsie Radke.  The bride’s youngest sister, Lillian, was the flower girl.  The bride wore a handsome gown of white silk, and wore a veil and carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses and lilies of the valley.  The bridesmaid wore blue silk and carried carnations.  At the completion of the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home, covers being laid for fifty guests.  Mr. and Mrs. Hellerman went to housekeeping at once in their cottage already fitted for them.

Mr. Hellerman for the past few years had been the principal of the Lutheran schools in this city, and during his residence here has demonstrated himself as a young man of utmost trustworthiness and ability and withal a sterling gentleman.  His bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Radke, and is one of Neillsville’s most charming and accomplished young ladies.  She is gifted with an unusual musical talent and has perfected herself in all that will be required to make a happy and contented home.

Out-of-town guests who were present at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hellerman, of Marshfield; Max Hellerman, of Norfolk, Neb.; Chas. Schulz, Miss Julia Schulz and Mrs. C. Demeter, of Freeport, Ill.; Wm. Radke and son Edward, of Montello.
