Bacon, Abbie (Wilson, Mrs. Robert A.) (1855?-Nov 3, 1910)

The Wenatchee Daily World contained the following report of the death of Mrs. R.A. Wilson, well known in this city as Miss Abbie Bacon:

Mrs. Robert A. Wilson of Portland, Ore., died suddenly at 3 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3, of heart failure at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Stannard on King Street.  She with a sister, Mrs. Ella Baily, arrived here last week for a visit with the J.W. Ferguson family, old eastern acquaintances.  She had been perfectly well and was enjoying her visit in this city.  Thursday she and her sister had been spending the day with the Stannard family, also old acquaintances.  While sitting doing some fancy work she suddenly threw up her hands and fell back dead.  The summons came absolutely without warning.

The body was embalmed and sent to the family home at Portland, where she leaves a husband and one daughter.  She was 55 years of age, and a woman of estimable character.
