Schwentkofske, Lucinda  (1871 - May 1, 1911) 
 

Mrs. Gust. Schwentkofske died last Monday morning at her home at Lake Nebagamon and the remains were brought here Tuesday night for burial.  She was born Lucinda Stevens in Walworth County in 1871 and came with her parents to Clark County in 1882.  She was united in marriage to Gust Schwentkofske 18 years ago and for the past two years they have resided at Lake Nebagamon, coming here from Duluth.  Deceased is survived by her husband and four children, in the bringing into life of one of which she sacrificed her life.  She is also survived by two brothers, Will of town of Washburn and Sam of Dallas, Ore. 
 

Mrs. Schwentkofske was an exceptionally bright and good woman and she had a great many friends in this city and vicinity.  The funeral will be held this afternoon at the Methodist Church at 2 o’clock.
