Moede, Nancy (Runge) (March 21, 1940 - October 26, 2009)


Nancy Moede, 69, of Fox Lake died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

 

She was born March 21, 1940, in Unity, the daughter of Harold and Marge Hudson Runge. 

 

She married Orvis "Butch" Mode on December 26, 1959, in Unity. 

 

Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Unity area for 11 years. They moved to the Waupun area in 1960. She was employed by Speed Queen for 30 years, retiring in 2002. 

 

She returned to Unity in 2004and recently moved to Fox Lake. She was a member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun.  

 

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Vande Zande of Waupun and Dawn Van Buren of Waupun; three sons, Scott (Adelaida) Moede of Fox Lake, Doug Moede and Lance (Jill) Moede of rural Fox Lake; her mother, Marge Runge of Unity; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Susan (Ron) Karsten of Curtiss; five brothers, Dennis (Diane) Runge of West Allis, Ron (LaVonne) Runge of Edgar, Duane (Joanne) Runge of Colby, Randy Runge of Medford, and Bradley (Kathy) Runge of Ladysmith. 


Funeral services were held Oct. 29 at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun with the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke presiding.


Werner-Hermsen Funderal Home of Waupun and staff assisted the family.
