Rasmussen, Theodore A. (13 Aug. 1938 - 16 Nov. 2009) 
 

NEKOOSA -- Theodore A. "Allen" Rasmussen, 71, of 11920 County Road Z, Nekoosa, died Monday morning, Nov. 16, 2009, at his residence. 
 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. 
 

Allen was born Aug. 13, 1938, in Marshfield to Theodore and Mae (Williams) Rasmussen. He attended Ebbe grade school and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1956. 
 

He married his high school sweetheart, Donna Brue, on May 10, 1958, at Chili. They lived in Wisconsin Rapids until moving to the river near Nekoosa in 1996. 
 

Allen was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. He was employed by Consoweld Corp. for 30 years and retired from Consolidated Papers in 1992. Allen was active in Boy Scouts and the Central Wisconsin Homebuilders Association (Children's Festival), and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved hunting and fishing with them. 
 

Allen is survived by two sons, Kevin (Lisa) and Dean (Jodi), both of Wisconsin Rapids; and his daughter, Michelle (Eric) Hofstad of Vesper; six grandchildren, Tara (Kyle) Pleet of Wisconsin Rapids, Amber of Marshfield, Derek of Green Bay, Dylan of Wisconsin Rapids, Clayton of Platteville, and Austin of Wisconsin Rapids; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Kaden Pleet of Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Charlotte Wilson of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, Wayne (Charlotte) of Marshfield, Neil (Jan) of Fond du Lac, and Garth (Delores) of Franksville; daughter-in-law, Carlin Rasmussen of Rudolph; and two sisters-in-law, Marlene and Delores of Marshfield; one brother-in-law, Gary Schmitz; and many nieces and nephews. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gregory and Trent; one sister, Gloria (Gary) Schmitz; and three brothers, Douglas, Richard and Donovan. 
 

Friends may call at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at St. Luke's Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. 
 

The Rasmussen family would like to thank everyone at UW Cancer Center and Ministry Home Care Hospice for their wonderful care.
