Mrs. Belton is reported quite ill.
John Shaffer has returned from Fremont, where he has been to see his mother who is in poor health.
School began in the new school house last Monday.
Last Friday being the last day of school in the school house, the teacher and children spent the afternoon in pulling candy, eating popcorn and having a good time.
Ed. Ward sold his team to Ashel Savage.
There is to be a turkey raffle at Ed. Ward's Wednesday.
Mr. Chitwood of Richland county, has moved his family onto the Ashel Savage farm.
Charle Hagle and wife of Milwaukee, visited at E. Hagie's last week.
James Carter and O. A. Crocket were drawn on jury for the fall term of court.
Mrs. Sarah Forbes and daughter Mae visited at James Carter's Friday.
Miss Ida Short is home from Rochester, where she has been visiting for the past three months.
There was a pleasant surprise at Joe Green's Wednesday evening, it being the twenty-first birthday of their son, Ernis. A number of the young folks from here were there and all reported a good time.
Percy Grace and Aaron Cry have been sawing wood for O. A. Crocket.
Arthur Wilding is doing chores for James Carter.
Grace Savage is home from her work.
