Fensome, Emily (31 August 1876 - 26 February 1955)

Mrs. W. T. Fensome, 78, died at her home in the city of Loyal at 2 a.m. Saturday, February 26.  She had been confined to her bed since last September.

Mrs. Fensome, nee Emily Bishner, was born in Cranfield, England, August 31, 1876.  She received her education in England.  She was married to Walter Fensome in England, April 16, 1906.  They came to America on their wedding trip and decided to make their home here.  They settled at Walworth and lived on a farm there until 1920, when they went to make their home on a farm near Chetek.  They lived there until 1930, when Mr. Fensome entered the ministry of the Free Methodist Church.  Seventeen years ago they came to make their home in the parsonage of the Loyal Free Methodist Church.  While here they retired from the ministry and purchased a home on Union Street in Loyal.

Mrs. Fensome is survived by her husband; two daughters, Miss Alice Fensome, who is home on furlough from mission work in Japan; Miss Ethel Fensome, who is employed in Eau Claire; and one son Herbert Fensome, Loyal.  Two grandchildren, one brother, Amos Bishner of Walworth, and one brother and one sister in England also survive Mrs. Fensome.

Funeral services were held in the Loyal Free Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J. R. Putt officiating.
