Zastrow, Mary (11 June 1873 - 7 March 1955) 
 

Mrs. August (Mary) Zastrow, age 81, Division Street, Neillsville, died Monday forenoon, March 7, 1955, at the Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past several weeks.   
 

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at two o’clock from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Jacob Grether in charge.  Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Zastrow was born June 11, 1873, to Frank and Mary Travnicek of Vernon County.  She received her education there and worked several years in Chicago and Michigan before her marriage to August Zastrow, which took place May 7, 1900, in Vernon County.  They operated a farm until 1941.  They then retired and made their home at Granton for nine years, returning to Neillsville five years ago.  She had been an invalid for the past four years. 
 

Survivors are her husband and the following three children: Mrs. Ray (Florence) Eggiman, Neillsville; Henry Zastrow, Neillsville; Mrs. Gilbert (Dorothy) Coyle, Granton; six sisters: Mrs. Agnes Loskot, Edgar; Miss Anna Travnicek and Mrs. Jennie Fields, Hillsboro; Mrs. Ernest (Emma) Rottenbach, Chicago; Miss Dora Travnicek, Oshkosh; Miss Clara Travnicek of the State of Washington. 
 

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a twin brother.

Funeral services for Mrs. August Zastrow, 81, were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Jacob Grether officiated.  Burial took place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  
 

Pallbearers were: Henry Wasserburger, Joseph Hartung, Ernest Campbell, Frank Miller, Otto Miller and Elmer Buddenhagen. 
 

Mrs. Glen Lazotte, Jr., and Mrs. John Kleckner, accompanied by Mrs. Dennis Maus, sang two selections. 
 

The following close relatives from out of town attended the rites: Mr. and  Mrs. Gilbert Coyle, Miss Nan Jean Coyle, Eugene and Mac Coyle, all of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Luedtke of Edgar, Wis.
