COLBY -- Anita Schuh, 95, of the town of Colby, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at her residence. 
 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in the town of Colby. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. 
 

A complete obituary will appear in the Friday edition of the News-Herald. Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Colby.

COLBY -- Anita Schuh, 95, of the town of Colby, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at her residence. 
 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. Daniel Hackel will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in the town of Colby. 
 

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church in Colby from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Acting as her pallbearers will be Duane, Ronald, Darryl and Dennis Schuh, Valgene Fischer Jr. and Mark Fischer. 
 

Anita was born Dec. 20, 1913, in the town of Colby, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Lube) Gosse. She attended Cloverdale Country School in the town of Colby and graduated from the eighth grade. However, Anita continued to learn and gather knowledge throughout her entire life well into her 90s. 
 

Anita was married on May 11, 1933, to Arthur Ambrose Schuh at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Anita and Arthur farmed in the town of Colby. Anita was a dedicated mother and farm wife. Sadly, her husband Arthur passed away July 10, 1992. 
 

She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. 
 

To all those that knew her, Anita's greatest passion was her grandchildren, and she had a way of making each grandchild feel like they were her favorite. 
 

Anita did enjoy traveling with her husband and his brother Wally and working in her gardens and flower beds. Anita was also an accomplished seamstress. 
 

Anita is lovingly survived by her children, Ambrose (Elaine) Schuh of Colby and Marie (Valgene) Fischer of Colby; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is further survived by her sisters, Marion Krueger of Colby, Harriet Laabs of Colby and Dorothy (Ray) Rodriziuz of North Carolina; and her brothers, Herman (Hazel) Gosse of Colby and Melvin (special friend Dottie) Gosse of Colby. 
 

Anita was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Viola Ewert; and one grandson, Donald Schuh. 
 

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Colby is assisting Anita's family with funeral arrangements.
