Bi-Centennial School (1955)

Sixty Children see the Pictures of Mrs. Glasshof - On Friday afternoon, September 23, the children of the Bi-Centennial School accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Hester Glasshof, and the children of Pozen School accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Irma Deutschlander gather at the Yaeger School to view a series of slides of the West which were taken by Mrs. Glasshof on her recent visit to the West.  A total of sixty children viewed the slides and listened to a very interesting explanation of the many experiences enjoyed by Mrs. Glasshof.

Pictures were shown of the Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Hood, Old Faithful, Seven Sisters, Hot Springs, the Bad Lands, Mt. Rushmore, the Redwood Forest, the Pacific Ocean and scenes in and around Los Angeles.

After the slides were shown ice cream, candy bars and gum were given to the children.

The pupils of Yaeger School danced some square dances and then the boys had a ball game.
